Señalamos tres aspectos fundamentales de la metodología de género: propone una nueva hermenéutica al cuestionar lo "natural" de una identidad genérica derivada del un sexo biológico. El género describe las relaciones entre varones y mujeres como relaciones jerárquicas, pero no logra explicarlas. Consecuentemente, el concepto de patriarcado debe mantenerse: visibiliza el problema del poder que fundamenta el sistema de sexo-género. Simbólicamente, el género asigna desigual prestigio a los individuos en una sociedad estratificada en dos géneros, absolutamente desiguales. Estas desigualdades, resultan de la interpretación arbitraria de los datos originales, favorable al varón. Siendo esto así, lógicamente está sujeto a cambios ... El feminismo ha luchado para cambiar esto. Y a ello contribuye enormemente con sus aportes, la metodología de género. |
