El artículo analiza la forma en que la violencia se gesta, se sostiene y se reproduce en la escuela, dando lugar a que este fenómeno se considere como algo normal en las relaciones cotidianas. La escuela -su estructura y funcionamiento, resguarda- da por el docente en el marco del discurso institucional, y por los alumnos, apo- yados en un código propio- promueve relaciones discriminatorias y, por consiguiente, productoras de violencia. Desde una perspectiva etnográfica, esta investigación se centra en dos escuelas primarias públicas del Distrito Federal y se enriquece con un trabajo realizado desde 1997 que recupera entrevistas con maestros, alumnos y padres de familia de varios estados de la república mexicana relacionados con el tema de la violencia escolar. |
